Teachers IES Älvsjö - Internationella Engelska Skolan
During spring 2020 IES Älvsjö carried out a Skapande skola (Creative school) project in collaboration with Teater X (www.teaterx.se). In this project, our year 6 students were invited to reflect on the topic of social IES as a workplace We have staff and students from all over the world contributing to a dynamic international atmosphere that everyone benefits from and enjoys. Our schools are bilingual with up to 50% of the education in English and follow the Swedish national curriculum. Hundreds of new staff welcomed to IES So this week more than 600 newly recruited teachers, student support, administrators and leaders from all 39 IES schools gathered virtually to get to know IES. This year IES is opening two new schools, Upplands Väsby and Östersund, while several existing schools are also growing.

We are so proud to be able to work together with Kungsbacka Kommun and their wonderful staff. The sports hall is only meters from our school building, you can see the construction of IES Kungsbacka in the Command of English. She studied Biological Sciences with honours in Genetics at the University of Edinburgh and did her teacher training at Aberystwyth University in Wales. Take a tour around the new sports hall that IES Kungsbacka will be using for all our PE lessons, some events and occasionally Fritids. We are so proud to be able to work together with Kungsbacka Kommun and their wonderful staff.
